RCD (residual current device)
Cuts the line on current leakage, protecting people from electric shock.
An RCD compares outgoing and returning current and cuts the line within milliseconds on leakage — it protects people, while breakers protect wires; you need both. Standard: 30 mA RCDs on bathroom, kitchen and socket groups, 100–300 mA fire-type at the intake. Test the button twice a year.
