Screed
A leveling cement-sand layer: the base under any floor finish.
Screed is a 40–80 mm cement-sand layer that levels the slab and hides pipes. Semi-dry machine screed in Almaty runs about 2,500–4,000 KZT/m² and takes one day per apartment. It needs 28 days to cure before wood or vinyl floors go down.
