Fridge — sink — hob: the kitchen ergonomics rule that saves kilometers of steps.
The work triangle links fridge, sink and hob with sides of 1.2–2.7 m and a total of 4–8 m. Our additions: a 400+ mm landing zone by the fridge and the main 600–900 mm prep surface between sink and hob. See our kitchen ergonomics checklist for the full set.
