Pattern repeat
The repeating unit of a wallpaper or fabric pattern that drives waste and matching.
The repeat is the pattern unit stated on the label (e.g. 64 cm, straight or offset match). Large 60–70 cm repeats need 15–25% extra material versus 5–10% for plains. We always calculate decorative materials from the repeat — running one roll short of a discontinued collection is the classic disaster.
