MDF
Medium-density fibreboard: the base for painted fronts and wall panels.
MDF is a dense, uniform fibreboard that mills and paints beautifully — all painted kitchen fronts and fluted panels are MDF. Typical custom furniture combines an LDSP carcass with painted MDF fronts; enamel fronts cost 1.5–2× more than film-wrapped but look far better.
